Logistics Meeting Minutes January 16th, 2008
Mentorship Program:
- Dinner finalized for January 30th, 6:30 pm Cassio A/B
- Dress code: Business Casual

- 6:45 – Introduction (SYC, Short Presentation) - ANURAJ
- Icebreaker – MANDEEP AND HARSIMRAN
- Dinner which includes
- Mentorship Presentation (5 mins – why we need it, goals, tips and suggestions for participants, etc) – JESSE and GAGAN (please use brochure/poster attached for ideas)
- Put together Packages
- Make SYC Stickers, purchase pens, highlighters?, NAMETAGS (Don’t spend more than $50) – SIMRAN (please see attached for logo to use)
- Notebooks (and possibly business cards) – MANDEEP

Update on Cataract Camp in India:
- A total of 1100 people were aided (for both camps) including the following
- Blood tests
- Sugar tests
- Teeth checks
- Consultations
- Eye tests/surgeries
- Total of 135 surgeries performed (including two 15 year olds who saw for the first time!!)
- How to spread the word, and update:
- Presentation during SSA Week (May 09)
- SIMRAN to make a storyline/blog of the experience by the end of Friday Feb 6th
- ANURAJ to make simrans writing into a blog on the website
- ANURAJ and HARSIMRAN to edit and make the movies/DVDS
Update on Registering SYC as a group:
- Decision to wait on this, as the cost is $5-6k base plus $1/year in lawyers fees etc
GGSCF kids Walk through Calgary:
- To happen AUGUST 19TH 2009 (Wednesday)
- MANDEEP and HARSIMRAN to lead (get at least 20 Calgary youth to participate in run ages 14-20)
- ANURAJ to figure out where to hold in city (Princess Island Park?) – Check with the City/Meeta
- MANDEEP to let ANURAJ know of the costs for Light the Night (Eau Claire)
- JESSE to look into catering/subway party
